Liang Zhiping, born in 1959, Bachelor of Laws (1982) from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Master of Laws (1985) from Renmin University of China. He once taught at the Law Department of Renmin University of China. In 1993 he was transferred to the Chinese Culture Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Art. Since 1988, he has visited, lectured and researched in academic institutions such as Columbia University Law School, Harvard Law School, French Academy of Social Sciences, Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS, USA), The University of Hong Kong Law School, and the History Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is currently a researcher at the Chinese Culture Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Art. His main research fields are legal history, legal culture, law and society
